For the first time in the history of tournament, the king has been dethroned! Ronald Neely (TX) finally took second place, while first-time participant Roy Lasseter (GA) claimed the top spot. Stephone Berry (SC) finished third in a field of 12 golfers this year. The tournament was intense from start to finish, with Stephone Berry leading on the Moorland Course with an 87 on the first day closely followed by Roy Lasseter with an 88. On the second day, Ronald Neely shot an 84, on the Parkland Course with Roy Lasseter just two strokes behind at 86, Stephone Berry at 90. The final day saw Joseph King leading with an 87, followed by Ronald Neely at 89 and Roy Lasseter at 92, despite challenging conditions due to heavy rain on the Heathland Course. Ultimately, Roy Lasseter emerged victorious with a three-day total of 266, while Ronald Neely finished a close second at 270, and Stephone Berry with 271.
